The European Commission and the EU Space Support Office are pleased to invite you to the 2026 General Assembly of the EU Space Networks:
The General Assembly will provide a unique opportunity for Network members to gather, engage in discussion, and strengthen cooperation with peers and institutional representatives.
Following last year’s successful introduction of a new tradition, actively involving members in the organisation of the General Assembly, we are pleased to continue this approach in 2026. This year’s edition is being co-organised with one of our Cypriot members, the Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence, and will take place back-to-back with the EU Space Days, to be organised on 26 – 27 May 2026 in Nicosia, Cyprus by the European Commission under the auspices of the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the EU. Hosting both events in the same city and venue will allow members to conveniently attend both in the same week, minimising travel logistics.
Why Attend in Person?
While the event will be livestreamed and recorded for those unable to join, we strongly encourage members in-person participation for them to fully benefit from both the General Assembly and the EU Space Days. By attending in person, you will be able to:
- Build and strengthen meaningful connections with fellow members and institutional representatives during dedicated networking moments.
- Engage directly in interactive discussions and live Q&A sessions.
- Take advantage of the synergies created by the back-to-back organisation of the EU Space Days and the General Assembly, contributing to the strategic exchanges which will be taking place during the Presidency semester.
- Experience the unique atmosphere of Nicosia, which we hope will inspire meaningful dialogue and memorable interactions.
The General Assembly will start in the afternoon of Wednesday, 27 May, and conclude at lunch time on Thursday, 28 May. Further details on the agenda will be shared soon.
